Bakesy Presale Guide

Check out some tips below to make Presales on Bakesy as seamless as ever!

1. 🗂️ Create a new product category for your Presale products (e.g. Halloween Presale)

2. 🗓️ Disable the ‘order due date’ screen from order request process so customers won’t be asked to select a need by date.

#1. 🗂️ Create a new product category for your Presale products (e.g. Halloween Presale)

Select ‘Account’ on the bottom menu, then select ‘My Products’

Select ‘Categories’, then select ‘Add Category’ and proceed

#2. 🗓️ Disable the ‘order due date’ screen from order request process so customers won’t be asked to select a need by date.

Inside ‘Add Category’ screen, toggle on ‘Disable order due date screen’

*This will apply to all products assigned to this category

For an existing category, select ‘Account’ on the bottom menu, then select ‘My Products’, tap ‘Categories’, then tap on the category and select ‘Edit Category’ to view toggle option to ‘Disable order due date screen’

#3. ✅ Add products into your new Presale category

Select ‘Account’ on the bottom menu, then select ‘My Products’

Select ‘+ Add’ to create a new product or select an existing product

When inside the product details screen, select the drop down next to ‘Category’, then select your Presale category and proceed.

#4. 📋 Utilize Custom Order Request Questions to create Presale order form

Select ‘Account’ on the bottom menu, then select ‘Customize My Bakesy Shop’, then select ‘Order Request Questionnaire’.

Toggle off ‘Order Specifications Question’ to remove Order Specifications question from the ordering process

Select either ‘Add multiple choice question’ or ‘Add text box question’ to create custom questions

*Don’t forget to create multiple choice question(s) around pickup dates/time windows for your presale!

#5. 🔗 Assign Presale questions only to your Presale products

When creating a new question, scroll down to ‘This question is for specific product(s)’ and enable this toggle. All products will appear.

Be sure to select ALL of your presale products.

#6.💛 Optional Tips

• If you only intend to sell your presale products while holding your Presale, you have the option to hide your other products from your Bakesy Shop.

*This can be done within the product details screen within each product

• Change the name of your 'Order Request' button to align with your presale's theme + hide the availability button from your Bakesy Shop.

Select 'Account' on the bottom menu, then tap 'Customize my Bakesy Shop'.

Tap 'Storefront Button Preferences'
